Usurping Common’s coveted “latest rapper to join Barbershop 3” title, Nicki Minaj has officially signed on to co-star in the second sequel to a movie about a bunch of people shooting the shit in a South Side Chicago barbershop. She’ll play Draya, a “sassy” new hairdresser who works in the beauty shop side of the business. This will be Minaj’s third appearance in a live-action film; she previously played Cameron Diaz’s assistant in The Other Woman, and has a supporting role in the upcoming Lake Placid Vs. Anaconda. However, she did voice a sassy mammoth in Ice Age: Continental Drift, so there’s plenty to draw from that experience.
