Nintendo might be making a Legend Of Zelda mobile game
Nintendo is working on a new mobile game based on The Legend Of Zelda, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal. It’s scheduled to launch sometime after Nintendo’s Animal Crossing mobile game, which was announced last year and is currently expected to release in the second half of 2017. The report stresses, however, that the timing and order of these two game’s releases could easily change. Like the company’s other smartphone games, Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes, this Zelda-themed project is a joint production between Nintendo and DeNA, the Japanese tech company brought in to help guide Nintendo’s venture into the mobile market.
The report also mentions a new mobile app based on the Pokémon trading card game is on the way. A digital free-to-play version of the game is currently available on computers, Android devices, and iPads, so this new version could potentially be a replacement that brings iPhones into the fold. We’re holding out for a rerelease of the card game’s surprisingly good Game Boy Color adaptation.
