No Country For Old Men, There Will Be Blood top Oscar noms
It should surprise pretty much nobody that No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood—two of the most critically adored films of 2007—lead the nominees for Oscars this year, with eight each, including (duh) Best Picture. Also nominated for Best Picture are Michael Clayton, Atonement, and Juno. No Country also scored nominations for Javier Bardem (best supporting actor) and Joel and Ethan Coen (best director), while Daniel Day-Lewis (best actor) and Paul Thomas Anderson (director) were singled out for There Will Be Blood.
