If you’re having a hard time waiting another two-plus weeks for Japandroids’ third album, Near To The Wild Heart Of Life, to finally make itself available, here’s something that might tide you over. Or it might just make the waiting all that much harder. You know yourself better than we do, so you’ll have to choose whether to self-administer or not.
“No Known Drink Or Drug” is the second track we’re getting to hear off the album (the title track was released back in November), and while it may or may not win over new fans on its own, it’s very likely to put a extra kick in the step of those already sold. It’s a catchy song—probably the better of the two, and the first one was pretty good.
Whether or not you decide to listen to this ahead of Near To The Wild Heart Of Life’s release on January 27, you might be interested to see the Canadian duo’s planned tour dates for the late winter and spring. By all accounts, they really come alive onstage.
