No, McDonald’s new slogan is actually “Lovin’ Is Greater Than Hatin’”
Last week, we passed along a Wall Street Journal report that McDonald’s planned to introduce a new slogan, “Lovin’ Beats Hatin’.” As it turns out, the processed meat purveyor has actually gone with a slightly different, somehow even more cumbersome phrase. BurgerBusiness reports that McDonald’s has registered U.S. trademarks for “Lovin’ > Hatin’” and, in a nod to the mathematically challenged, the spelled-out phrase “Lovin’ Is Greater Than Hatin’.” Now the debate is whether this slogan is even worse than the previously reported version, or, to put it another way, whether “Lovin’ > Hatin’” > “Lovin’ Beats Hatin’,” or, to put it another way, whether “Lovin’ Is Greater Than Hatin’” is greater than “Lovin’ Beats Hatin’,” or, to put it another way, whether “Lovin’ > Hatin’” is greater than “Lovin’ Beats Hatin’,” or, to put it another way, whether “Lovin’ Is Greater Than Hatin’” > “Lovin’ Beats Hatin’.”
