No one either wants or can afford to buy Kurt Cobain’s childhood home. The late singer’s family has put its four bedroom, one bath Aberdeen, Washington home back on the market for a second time; this time around, the family is asking $400,000 for the property, down from a $500,000 asking price in 2013. The family has said it wants someone to buy the house and turn it into a museum, what with its Kurt Cobain-scribbled band names on the walls and décor appropriate to the time periods the singer lived there, but a half a million dollars has proven too rich for most buyers, especially considering comparable non-dead-rock-star-related houses in the same neighborhood go for about $100,000. In 2014, a fan attempted to crowd source $700,000 toward the cause, but only managed to drum up $2,285 in pledges.
