In yet another attempt to best Coke, Pepsi has signed The All-American Rejects, Big & Rich, and Pharrell Williams to participate in a "Design Our Pepsi Can" campaign. Emo? Check. Country? Check. Hip-Hop? Check. Looks like Pepsi has all its bases covered on this one—except, that is, producing a cola that tastes less like bilge.
In other All-American Rejects news (as if you care), members of the insipid group are backing pop-punk pseudo-legend Ben Weasel of Screeching Weasel on his upcoming solo album—a disc Weasel brags will be his most produced and polished to date. For a certain subsection of the age 25-35 demographic, this is sad, if hardly surprising, news, indeed.
