No sir, John Oliver doesn’t like the Confederate flag

Continuing on with what he does best, John Oliver delivered a scathing takedown of the Confederate flag on last night’s Last Week Tonight. Spurred on by last week’s Charleston, South Carolina shooting, Oliver questioned the very existence of the cloth relic, which, it’s worth noting, is still flying at full-staff near the South Carolina statehouse. In the video below, Oliver calls the flag “one of those symbols that should really only be seen on T-shirts, belt buckles, and bumper stickers to help the rest of us identify the worst people in the world.” He also sadly notes that it still might be hard to get state and federal legislatures to disown the Stars And Bars, or what he calls the “bad flag,” probably because so many congressmen are spineless wieners.
