Nothing is safe now that TruTV’s renewed Adam Ruins Everything
We know a lot of folks have been reassuring themselves that 2017 can’t possibly be worse than 2016, but TruTV’s just dropped a fly in that ointment by renewing a show that does that regularly. The network’s just given Adam Ruins Everything a second season in which to debunk myths—definitely not bust them—and otherwise shit all over your preconceived notions of love and marriage and stuff. But host Adam Conover does that in the interests of continuing education and entertainment, so it’s okay.
According to a TruTV press release, Adam Ruins Everything went over well with viewers, earning ”a top 10 ranking among all ad-supported cable networks in its timeslot among most key demos.” The 16-episode second season will be part of TruTV’s 2017 lineup, along with another season of the magical Carbonaro Effect. The network’s also green-lit Guy Branum’s Talk Show The Game Show, a talk show/game show mashup, and hidden-camera series Chris Webber’s Full Court Pranks.
