Nothing to see here, just a secret Westworld site

In a group effort yesterday, the cast of Westworld dropped a bunch of hints on Twitter that led to the unveiling of a new poster for the upcoming season. The digital promo introduced us to the robo-vulture of the future, which is found in its natural state of standing next to bloody black hats.

The new tagline, “Chaos takes control,” is obviously a nod to the upcoming host revolution led by Maeve (Thandie Newton) and Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood). But some industrious fans rightly assumed that the glitches in that clip were hiding some important info, and got to work cracking the code. Then, as Vanity Fair reports, they uncovered a new Westworld viral site, one that teases a whole new game. As a clip full of season-one footage of closing and opening doors plays, a bratty British voiceover tells us “But now you’re in my game—and this game is Find The Door.” Some ominous script informs us that though “they” will try to find whatever door the young robot host—which many are thinking is a young Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins)—is talking about, the ’bots are going to get to first. We’ll have a better idea of how this will all play out when Westworld returns to HBO on April 22.
