Now Channing Tatum is developing a show for CBS
Channing Tatum just sold a script for a show he totally won’t star in to CBS. Tatum, Reid Carolin, and longtime friend Nick Zano developed Nicky, a half-hour sitcom vehicle based on Zano’s experiences growing up in a New Jersey house with seven different women. Zano will star as the aforementioned Nicky, a 30-year-old dude who’s only just now trying to move out of the house he shares with his sisters, mother, and grandmother. Tatum and Carolin will executive produce and maybe, if CBS and Zano are lucky, the former might even make a guest appearance.
Zano has previously turned up on 2 Broke Girls, Happy Endings, What I Like About You, and Cougar Town. He’s also been in movies like Final Destination and 10 Years, the latter of which starred and was produced by Tatum. This is Tatum and Carolin’s first foray into TV as producers, having worked together previously on Magic Mike. They’re currently working on the sequels to 21 Jump Street and Magic Mike, as well as Evel, an Evel Knievel biopic that will star Tatum as the legendary daredevil.
