Now that it’s had a taste, FX wants more Snowfall
Snowfall, John Singleton’s drama about the history of LA’s crack epidemic, has proven to be a slow burn (though this particular writer thinks it’s worth the wait). Regardless, the strong performances and critical praise obviously have FX hooked—the network’s just announced via press release that it’s picking up the drama for a second season. FX notes Snowfall got off to a solid start ratings-wise, but has gone on to score an average audience of five million viewers across all VOD and streaming platforms. It’s good news for the show, which just passed the halfway point, and has begun to really weave together Franklin (Damson Idris), Teddy (Carter Hudson), and Lucia’s (Emily Rios) not-so-disparate storylines. A new episode airs tonight at 9 p.m. ET on FX.
