Now you can stream a 5-track version of Into The Spider-Verse's delightful Spidey Christmas album

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is a delight from pretty much start to finish, somehow telling the story of six (or, technically, seven) different Spider-people without giving any of them short shrift or getting muddled in the process. Among the movie’s many enjoyable recurring jokes—including one of the best riffs on superhero origin stories we’ve seen in years—is the idea that Spidey is such a big deal in this universe that he even has his own Christmas album.

And in this universe, too, as it turns out: Sony hopped on Spotify today to release a 5-track EP of It’s A Very Spidey Christmas, allowing us all to get our fill of holiday superhero novelty goodness. We’ve got Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) griping his way through “Joy To The World,” Chris Pine doing “Jingle Bells” and “Up On The House Top,” Jake Johnson’s Peter Parker vamping on “Deck The Halls,” and a Spidey-themed spoken word version of “The Night Before Christmas.” (The latter coming courtesy of The Lonely Island’s Jorma Taccone, which might explain how this mini comedy album came to such enthusiastic life.)

Clocking in at a spritely 10-or-so minutes, It’s A Very Spidey Christmas doesn’t overstay its welcome. But it’s still a fun way to bring an extra bit of the Spider-Verse into our world this holiday season.
