Now You See Me 3 conjures up some writers

The Now You See Me franchise has been treating audiences to its signature blend of heist-movie thrills and “Is this your card?” mystery for a couple of years now, to generally enjoyable results. Now, Deadline reports that Lionsgate has found a couple of new screenwriters to mastermind Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson’s latest take on the world of larceny-prone prestidigitators.

Neil Widener and Gavin James have been named as the writers on Now You See Me 3, currently in the hands of director Jon M. Chu, who also helmed the franchise’s second outing. Widener and Woods are relative newcomers, although they did recently score a gig as the writers of San Andreas 2 and Paramount’s Battle Of Alcatraz, suggesting that they’re now Hollywood’s go-to guys when it comes to handling things that are nicknamed The Rock.
