Odd Future has won over young fans with its anti-establishment irreverence; likewise, record executives love Odd Future for its uncanny ability to get young people to buy stuff. This fall, young people will have even more Odd Future to love and/or buy when the hip-hop collective releases four new albums and embarks upon a national tour.
Already, hundreds of thousands of people who don’t shop at Target have Frank Ocean’s debut. On August 1, fellow Odd Future member Domo Genesis drops No Idols with production help by The Alchemist. A month later on Oct. 2, Mellowhype’s (that's Left Brain and Hodgybeats, elders) third album, Numbers, comes out. Tyler The Creator’s likely hate-speech free Wolf is set for a November release, right in time for family sing-alongs at Thanksgiving. Finally, Mike G promises to release his debut LP sometime this year and finally reveal what the mysterious “G” stands for. (It's probably Griffin, his last name.)
The Wolf Gang will then exhibit their wares on the Camp Flog Gnaw national tour. Specific venues have yet to be announced, but cities and dates are below. The tour culminates in the first ever Odd Future Carnival, complete with rides, games, special guests, and Odd Future performances.
