Toronto punk trio Odonis Odonis was one of the very best acts The A.V. Club saw at last year’s M For Montreal festival, so it’s fair to say that we’re pretty stoked for the imminent release of the band’s new record. Out next week, Hard Boiled Soft Boiled is half industrial punk, half dreamy shoegaze. It’s kind of a weird mix, but in practice, it makes sense. The track The A.V. Club is premiering below, “Highnote,” is from the latter part of the record. While it doesn’t have the intensity evident in the band’s live shows, it’s still a downright solid cut.
