Of Montreal releases new EP with uncharacteristically little fanfare
Just a few months after the release of its latest album Innocence Reaches, Of Montreal has quietly dropped a brand new EP called Rune Husk. Of course, the word “quiet” doesn’t really fit Of Montreal’s famously flashy aesthetic, so it’s probably more appropriate to describe this as a “surprise” release than a “quiet” one. Anyway, this comes from Pitchfork, which says that the four-song collection is available digitally right now, but a special vinyl edition will be released on March 31.
Apple Music subscribers can stream the EP at the Pitchfork link, and everyone can see the Rune Husk album art below that.
