Oh god, this Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 VFX reel looks like someone skinned Rocket alive
Here’s one for anybody having the sort of day that could only be improved by seeing a beloved movie character rendered as a snarling mass of bare, toothed muscle and staring, crazy eyes: a VFX reel for Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, showing how CGI production house Framestore made some of the film’s most elaborate moments, and also what Rocket Raccoon would look like if you fucking skinned him alive.
Admittedly, horror-core Rocket is only a small part of the video, but he’s pretty damn eye-grabbing one, even pulling focus away from the adorable dancing antics of Baby Groot. Director James Gunn apparently agreed; he promoted the video with an Instagram post showing a detailed moment of Rocket’s computer-flayed body, allowing us to dwell upon and glory in our latest example of good old fashioned nightmare fuel.
