Oh, Hello’s Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland stopped by Seth Meyers
Last night on Late Night With Seth Meyers, NBC’s late-night viewing audience got to say “Oh, Hello” to George St. Geegland and Gil Faizon, the crass, schlubby alter egos of John Mulaney and Nick Kroll. Currently starring in Oh, Hello off Broadway, Faizon and St. Geegland regaled Meyers with their tales of blowing up a Burlington Coat Factory with “Bernard” Sanders (“What’s he running for president of? The Band-Aid on forehead club?”), meeting on campus at Columbia (Gil was a “trispasser,” George was an anti-war protester), and how they, alongside the cast of Hamilton, came to be the darlings of the theater world. For fans of Oh, Hello, it’s hilarious. Fans of Seth Meyers giggling maniacally—not a rare occurrence, for what that’s worth—will also find something to love.
As a bonus, here’s a little fan edit someone made that mashes together the stars of Oh, Hello with Adele’s “Hello.” It’s not quite there—each “hello” in the chorus” should be performed by Gil and George—but it’s Kroll-endorsed, so we like it well enough.
