ABC has just released the first trailer for its upcoming Gong Show reboot, offering fans plenty of glimpses of new host “Tommy Maitland,” i.e., Mike Myers doing a character that sounds kind of like a hybrid of Austin Powers, and a grown-up version of his old Simon character from Saturday Night Live. Myers’ bizarre, catchphrase-laden performance isn’t the only thing The Gong Show trailer has to offer, though; there’s also plenty of celebrity guests, including Ed Helms, Ken Jeong, and executive producer Will Arnett, and a bunch of would-be superstars willing to face the wrath of the big, judgmental gong. The series premieres on June 22 on ABC.
