Once Upon A Time celebrates Hook and Emma’s wedding with a musical episode

Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Sunday, May 7. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

Once Upon A Time (ABC, 8 p.m.) As Once Upon A Time’s sixth and possibly final season draws to a close, the show is pulling out all the stops for the last two episodes. Tonight, that spectacle kicks off with the marriage of Hook and Emma, even as a flashback spell forces everyone into song for the sole purpose of making this a musical episode. To commemorate this momentous occasion, Assistant Editor Gwen Ihnat and Senior Editor Marah Eakin will both offer commentary after the episode, probably guzzling champagne the whole time. Will Snow and Charming’s song be about love and magic? Yep. Will Hook’s group number be about the peppiest revenge song ever written? You bet. Will we figure out why Emma’s dress looks exactly like Grace Kelly’s? Who knows. But we’ll try to have as much fun as possible, even as the uncertainty of next week’s “The Final Battle” episode—and the fate of the series—looms over us all.

Regular coverage

Probably nobody is getting married on any of these:

Bob’s Burgers (Fox, 7:30 p.m.)
The Simpsons (Fox, 8 p.m.)
The Leftovers (HBO, 9 p.m.)
American Gods (Starz, 9 p.m.)
The Last Man On Earth (Fox, 9 p.m.)
Silicon Valley (HBO, 10 p.m.)
Elementary (CBS, 10 p.m.)
Billions (Showtime, 10 p.m.)
Veep (HBO, 10:30 p.m.)

Wild card

The Great British Baking Show Masterclass (Netflix): Netflix has dropped a whole truckload of shows on us in the past few weeks, and it’s taking some time to sift through it all. Why, we nearly scrolled right past the familiar faces of Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood and their three full seasons of The Great British Baking Show Masterclass. Those of us addicted to GBBS (or as we know it, The Great British Bake Off) have often pondered how we could possibly reach that level of culinary achievement, and here Mary and Paul show us how it’s done. We doubt we’ll get one step closer to actual baking than we do when we watch the regular show, but we’ll definitely feel one step closer to a classic “good bake.”
