One defendant in the Slenderman stabbing pleads guilty
As reported by the NBC affiliate in Madison, Wisconsin, one of the defendants in the so-called “Slenderman stabbing,” 15-year-old Anissa Weier, has pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree intentional homicide. The court accepted her plea, and now Weier’s case will move to a “second phase,” during which a jury will determine whether or not she’s guilty because of “mental disease or defect.” As it stands now, Weier is facing 25 years in prison plus another 10 years of “extended supervision,” but that could change depending on what happens in that next phase of the trial.
