One of Arcade Fire's big bobblehead masks has been stolen

A papier-mâché bobblehead mask worn by Arcade Fire multi-instrumentalist Richard Parry was nicked from the band’s show in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The group issued a statement saying that the oversized noggin is “an essential component to [its] live show,” and notes that, while Arcade Fire has “photos of the theft,” it would prefer it if the thief just returned the mask. After all, says the group, “perhaps this is all an innocent mistake and you meant to leave the venue with your own oversized papier-mâché rendition of Richard Parry’s head?” Dubious, but nice of them all the same.

Anyone with info about the head’s whereabouts can e-mail the band’s management with tips.
