There may be approximately eight different spins on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein in development—at least, as of the writing of this sentence—but among those many new and contemporary tales of reanimation, only one of those also involves the resurrection of Haley Joel Osment’s acting career. The child star whose rocky transition into adult roles has bordered on Jonathan Lipnickian for the last several years will star in Wake The Dead, the Slash-produced graphic novel adaptation about a college student, Victor Franklin, who attempts to raise the dead. He sees formerly dead people! Osment’s casting was at least 35 percent about enabling you to make that joke, so relish it.
