Only murders in the Erewhon will return to Hulu this August
Better start lining up for your $17 Hailey Bieber skin smoothie because Only Murders In The Building is heading to La La Land. Announced during the Disney presentation at today’s network upfronts in New York City, Only Murders In The Building, the streaming series that dares ponder a world wherein Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez host a podcast together, returns to Hulu on August 27.
Picking up right after season three, Only Murders moves the mystery to LA, where the gang is offered a movie deal for their podcast, opening the series up to even more guest stars. Of course, Meryl Streep will return for another spot, and she’ll be joined by fellow Oscar-winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Emmy-winner Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, Zach Galifianakis, Michael Cyril Creighton, Molly Shannon, Kumail Nanjiani, Melissa McCarthy, and national treasure Richard Kind.
Here’s the official synopsis:
“Charles, Oliver & Mabel wrestle with the shocking events at the end of season three surrounding Charles’ stunt double & friend Sazz Pataki. Questioning whether Sazz or Charles was the intended victim, our trio’s investigation leads them all the way to Los Angeles where a Hollywood studio is readying a film about the Only Murders podcast. As our amateur sleuths race back to New York, they embark on an even more epic journey — traversing their building’s courtyard to delve into the twisted lives of the Arconia’s West Tower residents.”
It sounds like the trio gets a little homesick and heads back to New York, where, undoubtedly, they’ll share some insightful observations about the differences between the two cities. Either way, fans of Steve Martin’s porkpie hat won’t be disappointed.
