Orwell spy file unsealed

It's only appropriate that Britain's MI5 spy service kept watch over George Orwell, but it apparently took a non-Orwellian view of the socialist/novelist/essayist. Files unsealed this week reveal that MI5 observed him with a minimum of paranoia, even as he researched books like The Road To Wigan Pier. Sorry, all you skinny, chain-smoking leftist writers: Your government's just not all that freaked out about you. (Associated Press)
