Our comedy festival is happening in June, and it’s lookin’ good
Hello friends, especially those living in or near Chicago, or who are willing to travel. As you may remember, we have presented a comedy festival in our fair city each of the past two years, along with our friends at The Onion. Well, we’re doing it again, with help from our new title sponsor truTV: Behold the third annual 26th Annual Comedy Festival. It will run from June 1 to 5, 2016, at various venues around Chicago. Specific information on tickets and stuff can be found on the festival’s site.
The festival will open and close at the absolutely gorgeous Civic Opera House in downtown Chicago, with performances by Tracy Morgan (June 1) and Sarah Silverman & Friends (June 5). In between, you’ll find a cavalcade of excellent comedy from the likes of Reggie Watts & Karen, Chris Gethard, 2 Dope Queens, Big Terrific (featuring Jenny Slate), Michael Che, Jo Firestone, 7 Minutes In Purgatory, and the proverbial “much more.” (Though who knows how much more, really?) There will also be after-parties every night at Virgin Hotel, featuring big stars and surprises. Those are even free!
Tickets for everything except Tracy Morgan and Sarah Silverman are on sale NOW. (Again, through our site.) Tickets for Tracy Morgan and Sarah Silverman will go on sale tomorrow morning, March 3, at 10 a.m. Central. The full list (so far) is below. See you there?
