On the back of the announcement that it will headline Coachella, the reunited OutKast now says it will play headline at least 39 other festivals over the coming year. The 40-plus-date festival run should net Big Boi and Andre 3000 megabucks, though the group says it’s ostensibly chosen the shows purely as a tribute to the 20th anniversary of its “unique and influential sound.” Quoth Big Boi, “Don’t just think outside the box, know that there is no box.”
The exact dates of all OutKast shows other than Coachella haven’t been announced yet, but it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to assume the group willm headline Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo, at least, if not some other, smaller festivals like Sasquatch and Rock The Bells. In other words: Teenagers, prepare to be confused.
