Outlander renewed for two more steamy, time-traveling seasons
Outlander has been renewed for not one, but two more seasons. The Starz hit, which is airing its second season now, will air for at least a couple more years and follow even more books in Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series. According to press materials, the third season will follow Gabaldon’s Voyager, while the fourth season follows Drums Of Autumn. It also looks like the show’s star-crossed lovers, Jamie and Claire Fraser, will stick around for a while, even though Claire [spoiler alert] appears to have been transported back to the ’40s before she found out what happened to Jamie and the other men of Lallybroch at the Battle of Culloden. Caitriona Balfe, who plays Claire, seems to think they’ll be around for a bit, at least, though Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie, is being a little cagier.
Outlander airs Saturday nights on Starz, and is one of the highest-rated cable series for adult women.
