You remember how lovably crazy Ozzy Osbourne was on The Osbournes? It seemed like he was on something, didn't it? A lot of something, as it turns out: Ozzy's Beverly Hills physician Dr. David A. Kipper was just publicly reprimanded by the Medical Board of California for "poor record-keeping," concluding a nine-year investigation into accusations that he over-prescribed drugs to his patients. "I was wiped out on pills," said Osbourne, who later filed his own complaint with the board. "I couldn't talk. I couldn't walk. I could barely stand up. I was lumbering about like the Hunchback of Notre Dame. It got to the point where I was scared to close my eyes at night — afraid I might not wake up." The L.A. Times reports that "the board dismissed Osbourne's complaint after the singer failed to show up for interviews with investigators, according to people familiar with the investigation. (That's our Ozzy!) By the time the investigators reviewed Osbourne's charts, Kipper's record-keeping practices had improved, those sources said." Hence the reprimand and not the loss of Kipper's medical license.
