Pac-Man-based reality show in the works

Merv Griffin Entertainment is currently developing a "Pac-Man reality series," which will follow Pac-Man as he grapples with fading celebrity in the changing face of technology, his unfulfilling and occasionally contentious relationship with the marriage-averse, emotionally cold Ms. Pac-Man, and his days spent being haunted by the ghosts of his misspent youth, all of whom are trying to eat him.

Did you take note of the hilarious way we interpreted “Pac-Man reality series” like that, utilizing a literal reading of the headline based on assorted elements of past reality TV projects? "Our dad said, 'Be a blogger, son / But be a comical one / They'll be standing in lines for those old honky-tonk monkeyshines / Make 'em laaaaugh, make 'em laaaaaugh.'" But we digress. In all seriousness, this is a “big, crazy Wipeout-type event” meant to “bring what is essentially the world's biggest game of tag to television,” presumably by making a real-life Pac-Man board and then chasing people through it as they pick up cherries and bananas and the like for our amusement. Still fairly existential, actually, just on a different level.
