Pacific Rim’s Max Martini will probably star in Michael Bay’s Benghazi thriller
As part of his campaign to secure steady employment for severe-looking beefy guys, Michael Bay reportedly wants actor Max Martini to play one of the leads in his Benghazi thriller 13 Hours. Based on Mitchell Zuckoff’s book of the same name, 13 Hours covers the 2012 attacks on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya. According to Variety, Martini, who already portrayed no-nonsense military types in Pacific Rim and Captain Philips, is in final negotiations to play a member of the six-man security team tasked with defending the U.S. compound and CIA annex. The 13 Hours cast already includes John Krasinski, James Badge Dale, and Pornstache, with any female roles presumably going to supermodels. Bay will begin composing low-angle shots of these actors getting out of cars sometime this spring.
