Paisley Park will party like it’s 1999 with 4-day Prince celebration
Prince’s home turned museum, Paisley Park, will be the site of a nearly weeklong celebration of the late icon’s life next year. Rolling Stone reports there will be four-day event consisting of live music, panel discussions about his inarguable greatness, and more beginning April 20, 2017. The festival, fittingly named Celebration, 2017, will run until April 23 and will feature performances by Morris Day And The Time, The New Power Generation, and of course, The Revolution. Other artists in the lineup include Liv Warfield and Shelby J, who will perform with members of 3rdEyeGirl.
Celebration 2017’s kickoff will mark the one-year anniversary of Prince’s death. Its mission is simple: to bring together “musicians, creative personnel, special guests and friends who worked closest with Prince and knew him best.” The panels and presentations will allow attendees to wax on about ”Prince’s tremendous talent, influence and importance as a composer, musician, producer, live performer and filmmaker.” Tickets for the event are already on sale; you can grab general admission or VIP passes.
