Parenthood’s Erika Christensen and American Horror Story’s Taissa Farmiga join ABC’s L.A. Crime
As reported by Variety, Parenthood’s Erika Christensen and American Horror Story’s Taissa Farmiga have both joined ABC’s upcoming drama pilot L.A. Crime as series regulars (assuming it goes to series). L.A. Crime, as indicated by its title, will be about perfectly legal activities that occur in Kansas City, with each season—again, assuming there are any—focusing on a different era. The first season takes place in the ‘80s, and it will focus on a hunt for a pair of serial killers.
Christensen will be playing a nurse named Betty who “falls hard for a man by the name of Kent.” Apparently, she’s “enamored by him, yet frightened and enlightened by his strange kinks.” The two of them then “begin a dangerous partnership,” which is always a big step for a couple. Now, we don’t want to spoil L.A. Crime, but Kent and Betty are definitely the serial killers. Either that, or they’re just red herring dangerous weirdos, but we doubt that. As for Farmiga, she’s definitely not a serial killer, because Variety says she’s “an aspiring journalist gunning for a position at Rolling Stone, who has a close call with the killer.” She can’t have a close call with the killer if she is the killer, right? Though that “gunning for a position” line does make us a little suspicious.
