Lewis Black had it right: Candy corn is an abomination of candy and corn, a waxen, despicable excuse for a foodstuff trotted out each year to dupe undiscerning eaters. This video for the Nerdist YouTube channel with the lovable and bumbling Jim O’Heir as an organic candy corn farmer is a grotesque perversion of the inexplicable enduring popularity of this Halloween candy. It's a fake commercial for Nathan's Valley, a company that's either a salad dressing or an Arrested Development housing subdivision. But in using all the hallmarks of a pro-agriculture advertisement, the clip features all-natural farming techniques like tossing sugar on the ground and more than a few positively disgusting shots of folks chowing down on molten sugar wax. Damn it, Jerry! That is some nasty candy corn.
