Parks And Recreation's Mouse Rat asks fans to design its next CD
The ever-mercurial Mouse Rat (formerly Scarecrow Boat), house band of NBC’s Parks And Recreation, is once again looking outward for artistic guidance, asking fans to design a cover and come up with a title for its next CD. For those unfamiliar with the group led by the show’s Andy Dwyer (Chris Pratt) and who apparently clicked on this link out of habit or something, Mouse Rat is “Pawnee, Indiana’s #1 Band,” a vaguely roots-rock outfit that “takes inspiration from the greats—Dave Matthews Band, Counting Crows, and recent (but solid) discovery Train—and then spins it out of control,” according to its official website. So maybe when you head to Photoshop to create your submission, don’t forget the “sepia” filter. The deadline for entry at the NBC website is May 31, and the winner will see his work appear on-screen next season, so make it a good one.
