Plucky Veronica Mars and Party Down creator Rob "No, I've Never Heard That Matchbox 20 Joke Before, Please Continue" Thomas has pulled himself up by yet another bootstrap, landing the Fox single-camera comedy Little In Common, which is about bickering roommates who are also dwarves. If only! Actually, it’s about “three families whose lives have become intertwined through youth sports,” which is an interesting change of pace from Thomas’ usual milieu of sarcastic outsiders. It’s the second show Thomas has sold since Party Down was canceled, leading to Thomas working up the very similar-sounding Temp with that show’s co-creators John Enbom and Dan Etheridge, which the three are still prepping for NBC. Both shows have already been deemed “brilliant and canceled.”
