Passion Pit cancels dates, citing frontman's "mental health"
Passion Pit has canceled six upcoming shows, citing a concern for frontman Michael Angelakos’ mental state. In a post on the group’s website, Angelakos writes, “In order for me to ensure that there will be no further disruptions, I am going to take the time to work on improving my mental health,” without elaborating. The electronic pop act’s new record, Gossamer, is due out July 24.
The cancelled dates include stops in Nashville, Knoxville, Charlotte, Delaware, Norfolk, and New York City. The band will be back on the road starting August 2 in Chicago.
