Patricia Arquette to see more dead people in Boardwalk Empire
In her first regular television role since the end of Medium, Patricia Arquette will once again talk to dead people by signing on to HBO’s historical drama Boardwalk Empire, communing with long-gone gangsters and listening to their problems but fortunately not, like Medium, having to do much about them. According to Deadline, Arquette will join other recently confirmed new cast members like Ron Livingston and Jeffrey Wright to play “Sally Wheet, a tough-as-nails Tampa speakeasy owner with connections to local gangsters.” This confirms that, at long last, Boardwalk Empire’s producers have responded to the fan demand that they stop focusing so intently on New York and Chicago gangsters and get to Tampa already. And as always with new cast members on Boardwalk Empire, the odds are pretty good that Arquette will die by season’s end, and then maybe she can talk to herself.
