Patton Oswalt rocks the stars and stripes in new Weezer video

The “White Album,” Weezer’s latest eponymous effort and return to form (which will hopefully not be followed by another deviation), dropped in April, but the band’s already released a deluxe edition. This newly beefed-up iteration features all 10 “White” tracks—including the killer “L.A. Girlz”—as well as a new version of “Jacked Up,” featuring members of Pussy Riot and Fitz And The Tantrums. The new release also includes “I Love The U.S.A.,” which was part of Weezer’s “joint mission” with NASA. If the song’s title and “fuck yeahs” weren’t enough to get you feeling great about America again, then perhaps the star-spangled presence of Patton Oswalt in the song’s video will.

Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo looks on as Oswalt goofs off in the Oval office, looking like he stepped out of a Rex Kwon Do class. A brief scuffle ends in the end of the world, because Cuomo is a terrible Secret Service agent. But otherwise, the combination of Patton, Weezer, and NASA is a nerd’s dream come true.
