Paul McCartney, Metallica, and more in for Lollapalooza 2015

Paul McCartney, Metallica, and Florence And The Machine will headline this year’s very hip, very now Lollapalooza festival, held July 31 to August 2 in Chicago. Sam Smith, Bassnectar, and The Weeknd join the fest as second stage headliners, while acts like Alt-J, Alabama Shakes, Of Monsters And Men, Tame Impala, A$AP Rocky, Kid Cudi, Brand New, TV On The Radio, Cary Clark Jr., and Kaskade round out the fest’s semi-big names. It’s worth noting that this year’s line-up is slightly more underwhelming than other recent rosters, something that could be a symptom of both the glut of festivals in the marketplace or the lack of true headliner-sized acts in music right now.

The full lineup poster is below, and single-day tickets are on sale now, although both Friday and Saturday have reportedly already sold out. For lazier, cheaper, and smarter patrons, a good portion of the festival will also be livestreamed, with that schedule due out in July.
