Paul Walker’s dad is suing the estate of the driver in the crash that killed him

It’s been a little over a year since Fast & Furious series star Paul Walker was killed in a car accident, and now his father, Paul William Walker III, is suing the estate of the driver in the crash that killed him (via Entertainment Weekly). Walker was leaving a charity event in Los Angeles with his friend, Roger Rodas, who was driving a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that People says was “notoriously hard to handle.” The car eventually struck a tree, killing both Walker and Rodas.

According to Walker’s father’s suit, his son and Rodas owned a number of cars together, and he wants to make sure that Walker’s family either regains ownership of them, or receives a “proportionate share of any sales proceeds derived from the sale of such vehicles.” The claim is for $1.8 million, so that proportionate share would presumably come out to something around that. Walker, of course, died before he could finish filming the upcoming Furious 7, but his remaining scenes were completed with a combination of CG and Walker’s brothers, Caleb and Cody.
