PayPal cancels Alex Jones

It’s been a minute since we’ve gotten to taste the quick, satisfying, and entirely wholesome rush of watching Alex Jones get kicked off of something. (Ah, for the heady days when Facebook, iTunes, Spotify, and even Twitter were all getting in on the “Fuck Infowars” fun.) Luckily, PayPal has still got our back, announcing this weekend that it’s banning Jones’ accounts, cutting off at least one major funding source for his rant-y bullshit, and giving us a quick dose of our own personal BrainForce in the process.

A representative for the company announced the news earlier today, stating that “We’ve made a decision to end our relationship with Infowars Web sites, including PrisonPlanet. We undertook an extensive review of the Infowars sites, and found instances that promoted hate or discriminatory intolerance against certain communities and religions, which run counter to our core value of inclusion.” (We might be so bold as to suggest that the company could have made do with a non-extensive, completely cursory review, but we’ll take it.) Jones’ rabid fans will presumably still be able to pay for their various supplements and lib-triggering T-shirts via credit cards, or by directly sending him the old coffee cans full of burnt out microwave parts and lost teeth where they keep their personal savings.

Meanwhile, we regret to inform you that we’re rapidly running out of places for Alex Jones to get kicked out of, which means we might soon be facing a critical shortage for fulfilling our Jones, uh, jones. MySpace, you out there? LinkedIn? Hook a buddy up.
