Peabody Awards announced
The George Foster Peabody Awards—administered by The University Of Georgia's journalism school, and intended to recognize the best of the best of broadcast media—have announced their honorees for the past year's worth of television, radio and internet programming. Among the more noteworthy winners are the ABC sitcom Modern Family, the Fox musical Glee, the HBO dramas In Treatment and The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, the Sundance docu-miniseries Brick City, the CBS chat show The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson (specifically Ferguson's interview with Archbishop Desmond Tutu), the superb documentary The Order Of Myths (which aired on PBS' Independent Lens) and the websites for NPR and Sesame Street. We salute the worthy honorees, and leave it to you lot to complain about the unworthy ones.
