Penelope Cruz has also booked a ticket for Murder On The Orient Express

Kenneth Branagh’s Murder On The Orient Express is quickly filling up with more and more famous passengers. Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Michael Peña, Judi Dench, Josh Gad, and Branagh himself (who is both directing and playing Hercule Poirot) have already claimed their seats, and now Deadline is reporting that Penelope Cruz has also stepped onto this metaphorical train car with a ticket in hand. Like the original Agatha Christie novel, this movie version will concern a businessman (Depp, apparently) getting murdered on a train and the many strangers onboard who could’ve done it. We don’t have very many specific details beyond that, including who Cruz might be playing, but it’s a pretty iconic-yet-straightforward story. We can’t imagine this version will differ too much from the others beyond the aforementioned famous passengers.
