People Get Ready want to take listeners on an “Aquarium Date”

Get ready for some new material from People Get Ready. The arty Brooklyn quartet came together in 2009 after frontman Steven Reker finished up stints with both Miranda July and David Byrne. Emerging first as what the New York Times called “a moving meditation that suggests dreams,” the group has since firmed up and buckled down, though it still uses homemade instruments and auxiliary performers.
