People Of Earth asks: Are you experienced?
Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Monday, August 7. All times are Eastern.
Top pick
People Of Earth (TBS, 10:30 p.m.): This Wyatt Cenac-led comedy returned for its second season last month, with Nasim Pedrad in tow as an FBI agent who gets mixed up with the StarCrossed group. But “Gerry’s Return” is all about Gerry, who can now consider himself a full-fledged member, having been abducted (or taken on an “experience”) recently. But that knowledge becomes a double-edged sword, as his deeper understanding of the group he founded just makes trouble for him.
Regular coverage
Preacher (AMC, 9 p.m.)
Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later (Netflix)
Wild card
Singles (Cinemax, 6:30 p.m.): It’s 1997 Week, and while this film was released in 1992, we still felt it an opportune time to reminisce about the Seattle grunge scene, Campbell Scott, and the late Chris Cornell.
