People Still Buy Music: Michael Bublé inches toward Lady Gaga
Michael Bublé's Christmas continues to dominate the Billboard albums chart, lodging its fourth week at No. 1 with 448,000 copies sold. In the past two months, the smirky crooner has moved 1.96 million copies of his holiday album, which puts Christmas in the No. 3 slot on the year's list of best-selling albums. At the moment it's right behind Lady Gaga's Born This Way, with 2.03 million. There's still no touching the year's No. 1 selling album—Adele's 21 just crossed the 5 million mark after coming in at No. 2 on this week's chart with 227,000, a sales increase of 48 percent. Since 21's release last February, it has spent 42 out of 43 weeks in the Billboard Top 5.
The rest of the Billboard Top 10 include Justin Bieber's Under The Mistletoe (No. 3, 171,000), the Black Keys' El Camino (No. 4, 85,000), Lady Antebellum's We Own The Night (No. 5, 81,000), Nickelback's Here And Now (No. 6, 80,000), Drake's Take Care (No. 7, 77,000), Andrea Bocelli's Concerto: One Night In Central Park (No. 8, 76,000), Scotty McCreery's Clear As Day (No. 9, 67,000), and Amy Winehouse's Lioness: Hidden Treasures (No. 10, 65,000).
