People Still Buy Music: Noted dickhead Chris Brown tops Billboard charts with Fortune
Noted shithead Chris Brown has landed atop the Billboard album charts with his latest, Fortune. The record sold 134,642 copies and beat out Katy Perry, who came in second with Teenage Dream, a record that came out two years ago but that’s sales were presumably boosted by the release of Perry’s new flop of a movie, Katy Perry: Part Of Me 3-D. Justin Bieber came in third with Believe. Maroon 5 and Linkin Park were fourth and fifth, respectively. Adele, meanwhile, soldiered on, selling almost 41,000 copies of 21 last week, which earned her the ninth spot on the charts and put her over the 9.5 million albums sold mark—and that’s just in the U.S.
Fortune also topped the albums chart in the U.K. and the Netherlands and nabbed the top spot on iTunes’ R&B charts in 22 countries, including Poland, Malaysia, Norway, and and New Zealand. To date, Brown has sold over 8 million albums to date, 30 million songs, and is still a total wiener.
