Since The A.V. Club clearly holds award shows in such high regard, the Newswire might as well pass on the news that the People who actually participate in the People's Choice Awards have spoken. Winners announced last night include Nickelback (best rock group), Bon Jovi (best rock song), Johnny Depp (best male star), Jennifer Aniston (best female star), and Eminem (best hip-hop song). OK, so not all bad, necessarily. But still. And yes, if you really believe Bon Jovi wrote the best rock song of 2006, these playlists from A.V. Club's Noel Murray might be the Jaws of Life to that rock you're under.
